Signed with the Utah Stars out of Petersburg High School - the very first player to make the direct jump from high school to the pros. ABA All-Rookie Team Member in 1975. ABA All-Star in 74-75. Sold to Spirits of St. Louis in December 1975 after Utah franchise folded, but missed most of second ABA season (75-76) due to a broken foot. Went on to many All-Star seasons in the NBA with the Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers. The most dominant NBA center of the 1980's. Led 76ers to 1982-83 NBA title along with former ABA foes Julius Erving and Bobby Jones.
