Ricky Rubio, Kevin Love & Co. will wear the home uniform of the 1967-68 Minnesota Muskies.

The only connection between the Muskies and the Timberwolves is geographical.

Creatively named after a popular, predatory game fish called the Muskellunge, the Muskies only lasted one year in the ABA before moving to Miami and becoming the Miami Floridians.

The Muskies played their home games at the Metropolitan Sports Center (the "Met Center") in Bloomington, Minnesota. Despite having budding star Mel Daniels (at left photo, # 34) and a strong,competitive team, the Muskies failed to draw fans.

The Met Center featured multi-colored seats (green, yellow, and white) with no apparent pattern. Just about any action photo of the Muskies playing at home will show them in great abundance, due to the team's dismal attendance.
